Five RBI Day For Nick Fushi Brings Victory For Andrean 59’Ers Varsity Over Kankakee Valley
Nick Fushi showed timely hitting on Wednesday, driving in five on two hits to lead Andrean 59’ers Varsity past Kankakee Valley 15-1 on Wednesday. Fushi drove in runs on a single in the first, a sacrifice fly in the third, and a home run in the sixth.
Andrean 59’ers Varsity got things started in the first inning when Tyler Nelson doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Andrean 59’ers Varsity tallied five runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by singles by Rigo Martinez and Mason Sannito and a home run by Fushi.
Clay Thompson led the Andrean 59’ers Varsity to victory on the hill. He surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out five. Joel Holtcamp threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Matt Degroot took the loss for Kankakee Valley. He surrendered ten runs on ten hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six.

Jake Mullen had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
